This is an 8-week aerial hammock techniques course. Classes are one hour per week for 8 consecutive weeks and there is no choreography or performance showtime.
Term 6 runs from 24 October to 18 December 2022.
This aerial hammock techniques class builds on fundamentals and each class will progressively exercise and refine key hammock moves, transitions and combinations, in addition to essential conditioning and strength building to help you improve your aerial skills and execute them with greater precision, fluidity and better lines.
While there is no choreography in this course, learned moves will be combined into short sequences to exercise rhythm and flow, often to music.
Level 1 includes invert combinations (hip hangs, diamond inversions), binds, upright spinning combinations and leg hangs.
Prerequisites: Completed Hammock Choreo Beginners or the equivalent of an introductory level aerial hammock course. Also recommended for those taking Hammock Choreo 1.
- A fitting, sleeved top that fully covers your shoulders, underarms and torso (no cap sleeves/sleeveless wear, midriffs or loose tops that can ride up).
