We're looking forward to having you start your pole journey with us!
Our 4-week Beginners course is open to anyone who is new to pole, no experience needed. First-timers are welcome and there are no fitness or dance prerequisites.
This course will focus on introducing you to our beginner-level syllabus of pole tricks and transitions, to skill you up for progression to our level classes upon successful completion.
Classes are one hour per week for 4 consecutive weeks.
In each class, you will learn 1-2 new foundational upright spinning pole tricks and transitions, that are put together in a simple combination to help you practise and exercise the building blocks for a solid basic pole foundation.
This course will build strength and coordination while focusing on proper techniques for safe execution. There is no dance choreography involved.
Progression to: Level 1 courses in our studio upon successful completion of the course, with clearance from your instructor.
Attire: Tank top and pole shorts.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR / BRING TO CLASS?
Please wear a t-shirt or tank top and sports shorts (no leggings or denim shorts). You will need to leave your legs uncovered from mid-thigh down so that you will be able to grip the pole. No footwear is required.
Do bring a personal hand towel and your own water bottle.
DO NOT wear any jewellery or hand/body moisturizer on the day of your class as these will damage our equipment and cause you to slip.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I CAN'T ATTEND A CLASS?
Your instructor will speak to the class about make-up options. Alternatively, make-ups can also be done in our Flexology (Mat) classes.

WHAT OUR COMMUNITY SAYS ABOUT US
Neko Tan "...very experienced and meticulous pole instructors who are also professional dancers that come up with many new in-house choreographies every term! I've never felt stagnant as they continue to challenge themselves to try new things and evolved to become better as we (their students) get better! They do not just offer classes for people with background in pole dance or any dance background at all as there are multiple levels of classes and genres available, including dance classes without pole and adult ballet. It's a great place for both beginners looking to try their hand (or leg) at dancing and the more experienced looking for a happy place to dance their hearts away!" |
Shu Wen "...more than just a pole studio. This has become my happy place and my second home. The instructors have built a family that is ever ready to support and lift each other up regardless of background, experience, gender etc. Their passion, joy and spirit are truly an inspiration and infectious! There's always something new to learn and the friends make it so much fun. Start your pole journey at BDC. You won't regret it!" |
